Assessment
Most courses from the UK Academy result in a qualification, although some give a Certificate of Completion. If the title of the course includes the word “Certificate” or “Diploma”, then this is a qualification and as such we expect our students to be able to demonstrate their expertise in order to gain the award. When you attend an Academy course of this type you will be given a list of the Learning Outcomes for the course, and one or more sets of assignments which you will complete and return after completion of your training. On all of these courses the tutors will be engaged in ongoing assessment during live training and on some courses there will be other assessment processes. For details, please see the entry in the left hand navigation bar for each course. Assignments should be returned within two months of the end of the course, unless there are unusual circumstances that lead to a delay. There are no deadlines for the completion of assignments for distance learning students. We are proud of our assessment procedures. It is important to us that anyone displaying a UK Academy certificate or diploma on their wall has demonstrated the expertise required to do so. In this way our qualifications are meaningful.
Accreditation
The UK Academy programmes are recognised by a number of professional bodies throughout the world. Without unified standards of training, we believe that aligning ourselves with these organisations is the best way to ensure the quality of our programmes.
